CompanyPulse exists to democratise access to UK company intelligence. Companies House data is publicly funded — yet most platforms charge exorbitant fees for basic access, hide data behind paywalls, and plaster their pages with ads.

We're different. We take the raw data from Companies House, enrich it with AI-powered analysis, and present it through a modern, beautiful interface — completely free.

How It Works

Our data pipeline ingests the full Companies House register — over 5.5 million companies — and enriches each record with officer appointments, filing histories, and parsed financial accounts. We process Companies House bulk data products daily and listen to their real-time streaming API to capture new filings and changes within minutes.

Financial accounts filed in iXBRL format are automatically parsed using our in-house extraction engine, which reads inline XBRL tags directly from the published HTML documents. This produces structured balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and ratio calculations without any manual data entry.

Risk scores are calculated using a multi-factor model that analyses financial health indicators, filing punctuality, officer stability, industry benchmarks, and insolvency signals. Every company receives a score from 0 to 100, updated each time new data arrives.

Our Technology

CompanyPulse is built for speed and reliability. Company profiles are served from a multi-layer page cache, delivering full pages in under 50 milliseconds. Behind the cache sits a relational database optimised for the specific query patterns of company searches, officer lookups, and industry analysis.

Our front-end is lightweight by design — no heavy JavaScript frameworks, no client-side rendering delays. Pages load fast on any device, with semantic HTML, structured data markup, and progressive enhancement throughout.
