1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help us provide a secure, functional experience. This page lists the cookies CompanyPulse actually sets.

2. Essential Cookies

These cookies are required to log in, keep you signed in, and protect forms. They cannot be switched off if you use those features.

cp_logged_in A simple logged-in flag (not HttpOnly) so cached pages can show the correct header. It does not contain your account details. 30 days Essential

The CSRF token is stored inside cp_session. We do not set a separate cp_csrf or PHPSESSID cookie.

3. Functional Cookies

These remember anonymous preferences or how you arrived on the site. They are first-party cookies. They are not advertising cookies.

4. Local storage (not a cookie)

Your colour theme (light or dark) is stored in the browser as cp_theme in local storage. It is not a cookie and is not sent to our servers with each request.

5. What We Don't Use

CompanyPulse does not use:

  • Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or other third-party advertising or analytics cookies
  • Social media tracking cookies

We do keep first-party server logs (IP address, user agent, pages requested) for security, abuse prevention, and service operation. Those are not cookies. See our Privacy Policy.

6. Managing Cookies

You can manage cookies through your browser settings. Blocking cp_session means you will not be able to stay logged in. Blocking the gate cookies may reset your free-view count.

  • Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
  • Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
  • Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions

7. Updates

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page is the date of the last revision. Material changes will be communicated via a banner on the website.
